I have a shit name. It's Vietnamese. My parents didn't bother giving me a transliterated replacement.
Most people don't even try to pronounce my name, so I'm just referred to as "he", "him", "you", etcetera.
I'm really embarrassed by it and lately I just go by my last name, which does sound American.
Should I change my first name?
I also have social anxiety.

Own it and take pride in your heritage you ninny.
Also you kinda have to tell us what it is now.

It's only a problem when I'm with my brother and a person shows up and I introduce myself as "last name" and my brother standing there. Like, WTF, bro?

It's a very common Vietnamese name, but 99.999% of chinks like me have American names like Todd and Doug. Funny thing is my parents gave themselves American names, but were like, fuck our kids.
Dont feel bad Anon. Im a white guy in the deep south with a first and middle name used almost exclusively by niggers. Its been an issue my whole life and Ive gone through several nicknames trying to find my own real identity.
