One of my fucking favourite halo games only out classed by halo 1 and 3. The soundtrack, story and setting and fantastic.

Reach was good man, it wasn't Halo 3 but big team battle and invasion were a lot of fun. Particularly invasion since you were limited on weapons and armor abilities.
Multi team was also great. Reach gets too much hate but a ton of it is deserved.

Yeah that's a bit of an overstep. Custom games were shit for the first half year and none of em matched the fun Halo 3 brought.
But the whole experience that Reach brough with its firefight/campaign/challenges/invasion really made it a lot of fun for me. Though I recognize Halo 3 is definitely the better game.

ODST was my first modern game after playing gamecube, it was like 5 newer than any game I had, so it blew my young mind. I liked Reach a lot too, but Halo 4 was balls. After reading Starship Troopers I really want to play through odst again, but my copy has been broken for years.

This ranking will trigger people but I never got into CE apart from occasionally playing splitscreen with friends, 2 was by far the pinnacle as far as multiplayer is concerned and I struggle to see how anyone could prefer 3 when it had those gimmicky deployables and was stripped of the cool online features from 2 like the clan system. Reach and ODST are honestly my favorites campaigns from the entire series and I thoroughly enjoyed the Reach multiplayer despite its faults. I liked the jetpack, sue me.
I hate 343 for ruining this franchise, and I hate Bungie for not living up to their past with the stripped down version of Destiny they released.
AAA gaming is such a shitshow these days.

Thoughts on halo wars 2, I honestly think the gameplay and great setting really holds up the average story. Some of its aspects remind me of CE especially how banished forces are spread out across the ark just like how covenant forces were spread out across installation 04 allowing the unsc to engage them without being severely out gunned.

Wrong again, boy. 3 improved upon literally every aspect of 2 in addition to being on better hardware with better netcode, less game ruining bugs like super jumps, and finally finishing 2s just dead end story. Not that 2 was bad in any capacity, it has easily my favorite cutscene from the game and was wonderful to play with friends, but it will never really live up to 3. As sequels should be, 3 was just a better 2.

Fuck this game was good, probably one of my favorite single player mode of all time. Playing as rookie was amazing, they made him a silent character so we can insert ourselves into him, and I sure did.
