Yeah its pretty old made it in high school when Iw as still a bit ambitious. Now I'm 22 and have nothing to show for it except a driver's license test that I've failed 3 times and an english major degree that I'll never use. That's not mentioning the countles number of times I've been rejected.

self-esteem went down the shitter when I understood the harsh facts of life and i stopped trying. I use to song write until probably a year or two ago then I stopped that too. I write novels now but I'm still pretty depressed and feel alientated from my species because of how consistiently I've been rejected by men and women alike.

I relate to the alienation but I find that music for me is a good outlet for my depression and lets me express myself in a therapeutic way, music is basically the only thing I still enjoy doing.

Thanks, and I play a few others with not very much proficiency. The bowed strings in the first bit of that song was a banjo, and I also play a bit of keys. And also some hand drum which you can hear in the middle bit of the song

The guitar is a Seagull by the way, and in the stuff that I do with electric guitar I use a knackered peavy rocksmith that I got when I when I was 12 or something. I don't really have much money for a better electric, but it works

Alright I have a work in progress and a finished product.

Here's the first, a script I'm writing that's meant to be sorta vaporwave-ish, lot of neon and sadbois walking in the city and rain. The full plot is basically this guy can hack into people's minds and talk with their subconscious, and he uses that to investigate a growing mind-control drug epidemic. Only 6 pages right now but I'll get more done soon.

Yeah, I used a Great Hall reverb for the guitar on the second one and I got the effects on the vocals by singing through the vocoder on my synth and using the great hall and some amp effects. The first one was just straight acoustic but I layered the guitar tracks like 4 or 5 times to get that effect

Also, your stuff is good you should add some vocals and stuff. It'd be cool

I like this, I'm pretty into alt-country and neofolk kinda stuff and it gives me that vibe. Kinda reminds me of DI6 or Sol Invictus. Now you just need to mumble some esoteric poetry over it and you're set

I've been making music since last summer, I have a bad habit of starting a track then getting bored of it trying to get it to sound right and then starting a new one so I have like 30 works in progress.

I think at some point I'll eventually drop some shekels for it, but I'm low right now, and also I need quite a bit of other stuff for an album that I'm writing. Most of all I need some better recording equipment and I was thinking about an Eventide pitch factor and some chimes and I was looking at an arturia minibrute. I'll probably need to get a job if I want all that stuff

I guess it was Animal Collective and Phil Elverum that made me want to write my own music, and they both still inspire me a lot, but also African traditional music, like the chants and stuff, specifically Babatunde Olatunji. Also this psychfolk/rock band, Master Musicians of Bukkake. And also Boards of Canada when it comes to electronic stuff, but I'm still not that great with a synth
