Yeah kind of. I told him I am happy for him when he got a girlfriend and a new friend group of stacies and chads. I wish he didnt ditch me like that tho. But I understand, Id probaby do the same if I was him. After all we have nothing in common now.

Girls, especially the first real girlfriend tends to do that to guys. I had a friend in high school, we were both pretty nerdy and we hung out almost every weekend, then in college he got a girlfriend and from almost every weekend then we saw each other every 6 months or so. Worst thing though is when he lost his girlfriend, then he called me every week to do stuff, like no you forgot me for two years and now you don't have a girlfriend you want me to fill the void, fuck off.

Anyway, best is to move on, it was fun with your friend but ultimately besides a wife (not so nowadays either though) there isn't anyone you'll be close to all your life with.
