What do you guys think about becoming a train engineer
>it is something new and different
>It gives good pay without needing collage
>It is every autistic kid's dream
Railroad jobs are hard as fuck to get from what I understand, but if you manage to land one, you should be set for life
Do you like mechanical things?
Can you handle working on call, and on long sudden shifts?
Have you suffered little/no hearing loss through out your life?
If all is well then go ahead.

Well i mean i have no life so the shift isn't bad
I like working with my hands
and i always have had good hearing
how does an engineer position need no college education?
you drive trains
you dont need stupid math problems to tell when they will meet just get them there
getting a job as a truck driver is probably easy. there's only so many trains transporting cargo so those jobs are probably almost impossible to get
if I didn't have to pass drug and alcohol tests to do it, I totally would. alas, my love of trains and my love of mind altering substances are not compatible
Your location is also a factor to consider. I've heard that BNSF pays best, but I live in Atlanta so I'll settle for NS.
I honestly wouldn't mind working on new year's or any other holiday because I'm an aspie with no life.

I dunno, ask the experts on 1chan
>Just became an apprentice service advisor for a truck repair shop
>Writing invoices
>Dispatching mechanics and drivers
>Pulling parts
>Selling services
>Dealing with irate truckers
Are there any jobs in the train side of the transportation industry I can do with the skill set I'm getting?
Any trainanons feel free to chime in.
