Comfy little Japanese street.
So, when I leave the house and start feeling nausea from the anxiety, I should do the taps and tell myself this stuff? Is this a type of coping mechanism?

>So, when I leave the house and start feeling nausea from the anxiety, I should do the taps and tell myself this stuff?
You can, but the looks you'd get from people would probably make you uncomfortable and you wouldn't be focused on your issue.
It would be better to do it somewhere comfortable where you can focus, break down your anxiety into manageable pieces and eliminate their intensity one by one.
>Is this a type of coping mechanism?
Some people have involuntary tics used as coping mechanisms to distract them from the emotional pain.
This is different because it specifically requires you to focus on the pain.
