Have you ever lost a dog? Did you end up finding it?
Every once in a while I come across loose dogs. Running on the road or along the sidewalk, thru people's yards, freely with no owner in sight. They're clearly lost dogs.
I've lost dogs in the past a few times, when taking them out to the yard they sometimes get too excited or they get distracted by wildlife and take off running. I've always managed to catch them through quick thinking and fast action, I've even caught other people's dogs before.
But I wonder how many of them never get found and wind up stray.

I never have because I've never had a dog, only cats
But if I did and it ever got lost, I literally wouldn't be able to sleep until I found him.

Dogs aren't especially gross. They don't wipe their feet and they put toys in their mouths and sometimes they lick you. If you potty train them it's not bad.
