There is nothing wrong at all with civilisation.
It's the best thing to happen in the universe.

You can't argue against the fact that here and now is the single best time in history.
Any argument for society being "unnatural" can be easily shot down.

Do you complain that we are too sedentary these days? There is the door. Go for a run. No ones stopping you.

Do you complain that our diets are garbage? Then buy some veggies instead of wasting your money on that fatty garbage. The concept of the supermarket gives you that choice.

Do you complain that we work too much? You don't have to. And besides, compared to the past, work today is barely work at all. It's low intensity repetitive actions done in a safe, comfortable environment most of the time. Thanks to civilisation.

Do you complain we are too isolated? No ones stopping you from meeting people. Thanks to civilisation, you can use the internet to meet people, or meet people at clubs, or at church or 1000's of otherways. If you won't do that, that's your problem.

Calling modern society unnatural is not an argument. The only unnatural thing is everyones reaction to it. All the depression and angst these days isn't a natural reaction to modern society, its our culture that promotes cynicism and nihilism that is causing it.
