Robots:
i've always been self conscious of my voice. i was made fun of for it a lot during school. it doesn't sound very masculine or commanding. i also struggle when talking to people. it feels like i'm stumbling over my words all the time, mumbling and i can never find the right thing to say.
so today at work i decided to record myself speaking in everyday conversations to see if i could pinpoint what exactly is wrong with my voice (i taped microphone earbuds to my chest and whenever i would get up to talk to someone, i would start the voice recording app on my phone).
two questions: has anyone tried this before and did you learn anything from it?
i thought i was going to get some insight, and i guess i did. it seems like i do stumble over words but only occasionally. my voice definitely doesn't sound commanding and masculine and i don't know how to respond to people all the time.
how do i go about changing my voice so it's deeper and sounds more relaxed?

i'm 33 years old
take up smoking. the younger you do it, the more it changes your voice, the more your body can recover from the potential damage. just quit before 30

Find a voice coach/speech therapist? Or just do exercises where you listen to yourself speak and consciously change it, I guess.
