It's a fucking pain in the ass, I can tell you that. It took me four years to finally win my case and it was only when I spoke to a judge at a hearing.

I'm 26, I applied when I was 24 - it took slightly more than 2 years to get it. You 100% need a lawyer. If they think you can get it, they will most likely take your case. I have physical and mental problems, myself. See a psychiatrist and a doctor, but don't mention you are applying for it. Obviously, if there's nothing seriously wrong with you, you are shit out of luck.
