Now. Didn't used to be that way. Used to be picked on, from 5th grade straight through 12th. Tried to kill myself in 7th grade - got put in a mental hospital long enough that I was forced to repeat 7th. Got doped up on Zoloft, then Welbutrin XR. Was on it until I was 18, when they tried to wean me off it. Spiraled into depression. Hard. Got put back on it.

Then I said, "Fuck this, I'm numb all the fucking time." went and saw a therapist (one that I WANTED to see, not one that my parents forced me to see). Chose a chick, instead of a dude, which was always forced on me (its easier for me to admit shit to chicks). Told her all about my fucked up life, starting from 5th grade, ending in the present.

She put me on an exit path for the Welbutrin, which I followed. She gave me weekly goals. I followed them, never making an excuse. Stayed true to myself. Stayed productive. Haven't been in therapy since I turned 23, and I'm happy, healthy, and productive. Never spiraled out, even when I went homeless and lived out of a car for 6 months.
