Whenever I am around people I am happy. Whenever I am alone for extended periods I begin contemplating suicide and becoming anxious and suicidal.
Is this normal? Is this worth seeking treatment over? Are most people constantly surrounded by others? Are they content when they are alone?

That's being extroverted OP. You have depression too I think. But being extroverted is feeling better around others than alone. Introverts feel comfortable being alone and get easily exhausted around people. I think you should seek help for depression but also find ways to be around people more. Like using meetup.com
