It was a used honda civic lx coupe 42k miles for $12k.

I keep seeing negative comments on the CVT tranny
the looks, some say the car is ugly.
i see a lot of others saying the mazda3 is better
i am kinda stressed because now i have a car payment and i feel i made the wrong decision and its a big decision too!!!!

my first car payment isnt until March 18th at least.

Download this app, all coments and reviews about each car come from proffesionals, not some dumb fuckers who didn't know how to take care of a car and broke down on them. It's called TCC (The Car Connection) most of regular cars are there, and I'm pretty sure you'll find out about the good and bad things about my car.

But overall, a fucking Honda Civic will not break down on you if you do basic maintenance and take care of it, for Christ's sake, it's a Japanese car, those things will last until 300,000 miles and more if you take care of it.

Cars last depending on how you treat them, not because they have factory problems.

I'm going to look at TCC for sure. But I probably know most everything by now. I am just afraid of making commitments and when I finally did I felt like I had to find shit wrong with my vehicle.

Here you see everything by features and parts, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed of that car 5 years from now, remember what i said.

Also, Fords are lasting cars, I had a Ford Focus with 245,000 miles, just doing basic maintenance and taking care of it. I have never had a car break down on me, I guess it's because I take care of them and give them proper maintenance. Don't drive over holes in the street, don't go over bumps at fast speed, don't take close curves too fast, it takes care of your wheels and alignment, don't step on the gas when you just turned it on, warm it up for at least 30 seconds every morning or whenever you're gonna use it again after 8 hours, always make sure you check your temp, and don't turn it on and turn it off a lot to take care of your engine starter. After all, the car will consume more gas turning on than leaving the engine running for 5 minutes.

Take care of your car like if it was your wife, and it'll last forever

keep it, a Honda Civic will last a lifetime if maintained well. driving a '98 automatic Civic myself, it's a bit rickety but has yet to break down or give me any serious trouble despite my aggressive driving style

Still great advice for any car. I actually let me car warm up for at least 5-10min in the winter. I need slow down on highways, i cruise control at 75mph.

I still wish I could take it back and get a mazda3 or another better rated car.
Oh well I need to live with my decision and realize i dont have to have this car for life.

Toyota Corolla S has 7.6 and that's the one I have, exactly the same in pic, 34,000 miles, still running smooth, I still feel like the day I bought it, it only had 3 miles in the odometer, 3 years later, the car stills feels like it was new.

Fuck the reviews bro, as long as you take care of it, a car will never give you problems, UNLESS you bought it used and the previous owner didn't take care of it. I got mine new, so I know this car will last me until 300,000 miles if I keep taking care of it the way I do.

Recently wanted to replace it for a Toyota GT 86, but my tall ass won't fit in the small ass car.

Just take care of your ride bro, it will for sure outlive the payments, you'll pay it off and you'll still be driving the shit outta it if you take care of it

Honestly, your thread on /o/ had quite a few shitposters, reliability is not a problem with these Civics, my 2013 model has 86xxx kms currently and runs fine (with the CVT), its had no issues.The mileage is decent considering these cars are supposed to be driven 18k to 24k kilometers an year. Also the looks are just a preference, if you really want, just spend some time and money to tastefully modify it, exterior wise of course. (for instance: STi lip, relocate your license plate, window visors, removing the amber on your headlights, or even a small drop can make your call better.)
