I did it, brobots. I broke out of my NEET life, got a job, and purchased an apartment complex for extra income.

That is awesome - that type of investment will set you up for life, eventually. how many units? Details please, I'm a bit of an RE wonk.
Great, now what are you going to do?

It's a 5 unit that brings in $2,600 per month in rental income from 4 units, and I live in the 5th for free. It was a bakery from the early 1900's until a few years ago when it was renovated into apartments, but they left a lot of original details and exposed beams. I love the architecture.

Yeah took about 4 years of saving.

Nice. Hopefully you didn't buy it all cash.

Nah I mortgaged it, but the mortgage is cheaper than I was previously paying for rent. So far it seems to be working out well. I'd like to buy a few more properties so I can quit my dayjob and just be a slumlord.
Yeah, I did the same thing a few years ago. My life didn't change at all.

sysadmin. I don't have to talk to anyone and I just play on a computer all day. It's a pretty nice gig.
