When i was a freshman in hs, I went to the local store for lunch and stole some hard lemonade (about 24 ounces of it) I drank the entire thing before my computer programming class.

You don't need alcohol. It would be a temporary solution to a hopefully not persisting problem. It's easy to be confident, secure and shit when you're not you true self. It's just plain easy. But life is not.

I never got drunk before going to class, but I've spent most of my adult life having at least two large whiskies before any planned social situation. When I'm sober I'm anxious, withdrawn and can barely finish a sentence without stammering nervously, but a couple of drinks makes it all go away. I drank like a fish when I was in university, because I wanted to be liked and felt like nobody could possibly like the person I was when I was sober.
I wish I could always feel the way I feel when I'm two drinks in.
