Anyone else take pictures of things when they're about town?
I'm not good enough for /p/ but figured it would be nice if we could share our pictures with each other. Would love to see yours if you have any
I took some photos while I was in seoul, but honestly I've never understood the impulse to do so. I only took them because the guy I was staying with kept telling me to so I could "share and remember the trip"
Unless the thing is particularly interesting or amusing, I don't know why I'd take a picture of it. It's right there. I'm looking at it.
Looking 2 buy house. We aren't buying it, but you might like the amazing "mini-ranch" of five acres in photo -- oak trees form alley to nice mobile home, workshop, stables...

I usually only take pictures of things that really strike me. and there's a bit of a game in trying to capture what you find striking and transfer that to an image. Sometimes you fail, other times it comes out well

You are 100% right about it: I'm looking at it, not experiencing it via intermediary of viewfinder/lens,,,, smart phones made already narcissistic women hyper-narciss. Everyone thinks he's Answl Adams....

I like this anon, what state is this?
I like to photograph Brutalist architecture. But also I like to capture people who don't know they are being recorded. I just find it very fascinating. there are a few car parks around the cbd I use for this purpose. great views of surrounding streets and apartments. I took this the other day and liked it for its voyeurism. I know its not a particularly good photograph.
I also like photography because I use my now deceased grandfathers camera. its a simple digital not some hipster film bs and it makes me feel connected since my grandparents took it on holidays with them.

Wow what if you printed the image on some color print paper then scanned it?

my friend at uni that does photography printed them for me for free, but she took a while to do it. I haven't printed myself in colour before but you could prolly get the same effect more or less with a filter; the paper is light sensitive
