>realise that the switch from detailed reviewed publications to shitty websites and internet forums has ruined my mind
Seriously, idk why but there's kind of an underlying negativity and criticalness on the internet that brings you down on a daily basis.
In the unlikely event any of you can afford it I would highly suggest switching to some magazine of interest for a bit to see how it affects you.
do magazines even exist anymore?

Idk about USA but I live in japan and most convenience stores have one whole wall of the store dedicated to magazines and manga.
Never seen anyone buy a DvD but there's always people reading/buying the magazines. I've noticed it's mostly makeup ones with free shit, game ones with demos/posters and weird old guys buying porn.

Has it really? I recently went through a bunch of my old collection of EGM magazines, including this one.
If you read the articles, it's the same stuff as today. A bunch of hype bullshit. The reviews weren't very good either. They had maybe two to three reviews in each magazine that were long and worth reading. Usually you'd see conflicting advertising somewhere scattered throughout the magazine that, now that you're older and wiser, make you think about potential conflicts of interest. But overall the magazines were great when we were kids because there wasn't much else. You could bring it to school to read in your downtime and most of your friends would check it out.
Felt bad throwing away all those magazines. But what use are they? Only the earliest copies hold any value.

>Be Britbong
>Go to WHSmiths
>A whole section of magazines covering all hobbies, including all the normie ones such as running, weightlifting, photography all the way down to model trains and historical model making
Sometimes I just like to pick one up from a random hobby and flick through to gain an insight into some obscure subculture.

Why not read an actual book?
just download pdfs
Sortof related - the other day I deleted the BBC and iPhone news apps from my phone after seeing another ridiculous feminist article. Literally all the mainstream media promote bullshit.
I'm turning away. The only reason I had it in the first place was to get 'happening' breaking alerts.
