Not sure if this answers your question, but if I recall correctly they did a study a few years ago and found male babies liked toys with a mechanical focus, while female babies liked toys with a biological focus. It may explain why women aren't as interested in guns, tanks, ships, etc.

Because men and women are different. I don't find any of that interesting on its own. History is interesting and I enjoy reading about different societies, philosophies, how things have progressed and regressed throughout it etc, but military history is really boring to me on its own. Wars are only interesting for being sensational, furthering technology and how they impact society. Guns are fun to shoot, but the people on places like /k/ who mostly read about them all day are boring, "collection" hobbies are materialistic and boring. Reading obsessively into tools like cars, tanks, etc, sounds autistic to me, they are better to use.
