Bloodborne imho is the greatest video game ever made and is considered a masterpiece for all artistic mediums.

Dark Souls series itself is currently the best video games being made. The formula of a cryptic world that you navigate in a true D&D style with the perfect difficulty is awesome. Perfect mix of mystery, art direction, fun, and customization.

Idk what it is, but I just can't get into Dark Souls 2 or 3. I played through 2, but I just can't bring myself to give a fuck about 3. Something about how the character feels as you control them seem to be a massive step down from Dark Souls and Demon's Souls.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are fucking unbelievably good though.

Nah. Champ Gundyr, Twin Princes, Dancer, and Soul of Cinder are clear exceptions to this. A lot of bosses also manage to be good despite gimmicks, like Nameless King, Dragonslayer Armor, and Abyss Watchers.

When this isn't necessary for progression it trivializes the game. Any Souls vet puts stats into vitality. You could also say this about BloodBorne.

They're great games, and I enjoy them a lot, but I wish there was more to them than just combat and some vague (but interesting) lore that never really gets discussed.

To me, an RPG is about more than just fighting.

Completely agree. Dark souls 2 had a nice sense of exploration because it just kept on going, but dark souls 3 was not interesting at all for me. Everything felt inferior to dark souls 1, in size and quality.

Although Izalith / demon ruins was decent in dark 3, the smouldering lake was empty

My problem with witcher is on the highest difficulty it is just boring and repetitive and it takes so long. Completely doable and easier than dark souls in a lot of ways but it just doesn't feel as epic. I thought bloodborne was good.
