Think about how much time you waste by sleeping. 8 hours a day adds up to more than 120 days wasted a year.
If that time could somehow be claimed back, that could be years added to your life. There's gotta be a way around this.

Don't worry, I spend the other 16 on /r9k/. It doesn't matter
>>34620997
You could be on here more though
think about how much time you waste staying awake. 16 hours awake every day just to suffer and be miserable
sleep is better

original amphetamines
ever heard of polyphasic sleep?
Why don't you lucid dream, so instead of not remembering your dreams, you can control them?
>>34620986
>out of the maybe 80 years you get in your life, you spend about 27 YEARS doing fucking nothing
>at 21 years old, you've spent 7 YEARS asleep
Sleep is amazing because it feels GREAT and dreams are amazing but I agree that it takes up way too much time.

>8 hours
try 12 my man.
8 hours minimum for work.
about a 2 hour commute every day unless your job is close
spending money on gas just to drive to work. getting there early just to wait in the parking lot. etc.
thats what really hurts.

this is the truth
this is the way
what is their in the waking life worth experiencing?
nothing. a dreamless sleep surpasses it totally.
This is why I backed that lucid dream inducing headband on kickstarter a couple of years ago, soon I will be able to fully control my dreams and use the time to fuck actresses and fly around and shit
This has been a recurring thought for me, almost daily, for years now. I've tried getting used to 6 hours a night, but after a while I always end up exhausted and sleeping for 12-14 hours straight. Some people can naturally get 4 hours of sleep a night and function fine, I'm incredibly jealous of them.

Theres no way this could reliably work
>>34620986
sleeping is not wasted time. it's an essential part of how your body functions and it feels awesome to boot.
as someone who sleeps at most 6 hours a night(unless I take benzos or opiates)
going to bed at 9am and waking up at 1-3 pm every afternoon isn't that fun tbpbhwyl

>1900's in a world where people don't need to sleep
>people work 22 hour workdays w/ two one-hour breaks, seven days/week
>instead of 1/3 of their lives spent sleeping, it's 11/12 of their lives spent slaving
No thanks OP.
>>34621240
>at 21 years old, you've spent 7 YEARS asleep
Holy fuck, I'm 21. Imagine if we could change it to 7 years straight, and be awake nonstop for the other 14. Could let girls sleep away their bitchy years (10-17) and wake up w/ titties and developed bodies.

>implying I would use an internet-connected device to log everything I do in the one realm where the feds can't stalk me
>>34620997
lmao
>not spending 24 hours 365 days a year on /r9gay/
weak sauce
