>Quit smoking 2 months ago after 4 years of smoking
>pretty much no cravings
>really want a cigar
J-just a cigar thats all. It wouldnt hurt, right? Ive been a good boy!
You can either have the discipline to just have a cigar on occasion, or you can behave like an addict and be a slave to the idea of "breaking sobriety" your whole life.
>started quitting today
>had half a smoke 7 hours ago when I woke up and that's it
>already getting angry as fuck
you might just be craving the sensation of smoke in your mouth, might not be too bad, but I wouldn't if I were you.

Here are your complementary (you)s
Thanks for the different veiwpoints!
That is how addicts think, OP. Smoke weed. Weed is superior to tobacco. Yeah, it doesn't do the same thing, but tobacco is shit anyway. Weed will actually make you feel better.

thanks bud wasn't expecting a you.
this is actually my second time quitting, managed to go a year before shit happened and I started again. I mostly missed inhaling/exhaling smoke after the nicotine cravings left, which is why I don't recommend it cause once you get that back nicotine comes back into the picture and yeah.
maybe weed like anon above me suggested is a good idea - or a shitty vape thing with no nicotine juice (but they're disgusting).
I woke up drunk from last night and went to class.
Bummed like 4 cigs from people between classes, oh man were they grand.
It's still too fucking cold to smoke so it's not worth it
>quit all my addictions pretty recently
>shaking and constant nausea finally dying down but I've started sleeping 15+ hours a day
This is normal, right? I'm not dying? Like, not any faster than normal?
dont do it lad
I always fuck up with this shit. I've quit smoking like 10-15 times. usually for 1-6 months. longest I've gone is 14 months.
it starts with a fancy cigar or a cig while drunk and I'm back to smoking half a pack a day.
maybe I'm just shit and have no self control but it's not worth it for me. it's fucking frustrating

That's just withdrawal my dude, you'll be right.
don't give in baka
at least it's not opiates or benzos
seen some shitty stuff
>>34603387
I just wasn't sure if sleeping that long is part of it. I think this is the longest I've been clean in a good decade.
>>34603443
oh it definitely is. I slept for 18+ a day when I went through withdrawals. you'll be right friend.
>>34603050
Just think of the cigar for what it really is - a big dark brown smelly nigger dick that you slobber on. That oughta curb your cravings.
>>34603333
You rolled quads, you'll be fine
>>34603050
Probably best not to anon. I quit about a month ago and before that I quit in like October. Thought that having a smoke at christmas would be a nice present to myself. It was a poor choice, it always escalates from there.
>>34603427
about to quit xanax. I've been popping 1mgs for 6 months every night
what should I expect? besides the sleepless, long nights
>>34603464
Thanks for the help. Still not sure if not dying is a good thing or not, though.
>>34603526
1 mg? You'll be fine, just take .5 for a week then .25 for a week after that if you feel its needed
benzos suck, at least you're not tapering down from 7 mg a day
>>34603557
>Still not sure if not dying is a good thing or not, though.
probably not but this is heavily opinion based lol
>>34603655
Even as I sort my shit out, I'm still laying in bed at night silently praying I just don't wake up.
smoking is for degenerates
Don't fall into the trap OP, be stromg

>Non smoker up until last summer.
>There's a new girl at work
>Spend evenings after shifts smoking cigarettes and talking (mostly just her venting)
>Find out the girl used to like me, but now she's moved on like they always do
>Now addicted to cigs
>Every cigarette makes me think of the countless comfy evenings
