You weren't the sperm or the egg any more than you are a skin cell, you autist. "You" are your brain which didn't develop until the fetus started to develop. And even then, what "you" are constantly changed and became more complex as you went through life experiences and your brain developed. As an adult who "you" are is a much more unchanging thing compared to your younger years, but it still changes slightly as you go through new experiences.

Eventually "you," if you don't die to some other cause, will become old and go senile as your brain cells fail to replicate properly and then your body will shut down and your brain will decompose inside of a coffin into nothingness.

I guess I can say that I do feel conscious when I am at home or I am in a situation where I am enjoying myself or thinking about something extensively yet I feel like I mostly live my life on autopilot.

Everyday just seems the same, there may be slight variations in my routine yet I cannot really differentiate between the days anymore all that well, In the past when I was younger and could choose to ignore the passage of time sometimes I felt like weeks passed have passed in the time span of a few days, My mind did not really place too much emphasis on remembering what happen during that time so sometimes I felt like large chunks of time were missing from my mind.
