Thicker stronger hair objectively makes a better beard. As someone with really fine hair on his head who is starting to bald, it is much more noticable than when a thick haired spanish dude starts going through the same thing.

It should be noted though that taking testosterone also makes your body produce estrogen so don't be dumb with hormones.
