For those of you who use the computer for extended periods of time, how is your vision holding up?
I'm finding it gradually more difficult to use a computer because my eyes are in constant pain and I have a ton of floaters in both of my eyes obscuring my vision. It is especially painful to look at webpages that are mostly white.
I just want an end to this suffering.
My vision got bad when I was 16-18 but it's mostly because of shit genes from dad. I use computers and other screens 10+ hours a day and haven't noticed any problems, My eyes only become tired if I stay up too late and play games or something.
I do suffer from pretty heavy visual snow.
I'm incredibly nearsighted, I suspect because I spent so much time on computers or reading books growing up. But they've stopped getting worse, so eh.
I also have annoying floaters that show up on white webpages, but it's only occasionally irksome, not an active impediment to seeing things. I don't have pain or anything.
It was fine until my late 20s
I can't read at a distance any more and it's getting harder and harder to concentrate. They're getting worse and worse.
12+ hours of computer a day really does a number on your vision

Floaters are normal and you notice them easier in bright white backgrounds, most of the time I don't see them but if I go outside during the day in the winter they show up, then again I also get easily blinded by the snow and have to wear sunglasses.
Floaters are only a problem if they suddenly start increasing a lot then you should quickly head to the doctor for a check.

I noticed that I seem to lose the ability to see three-dimensional after staring at the screen for days.
When I go out on the balcony and look over the city it takes a few minutes until I can see 3D again.

Dunno man last time I got new glasses was 5-6 years ago and when I went for a new check my eyesight remained the same, I'm not convinced staring at monitors has any significant effect
I've been playing games since I was 4 and for the last 4 years I've been a NEET who sits in front of his computer for 14-18 hours a day. My eyes are still 20/20

I think my long range vision is getting worse, pretty sure late night reading and lots of video games/computer games is what ruined my originally perfect 20/20 vision.
Eyes are fine but vision is very poor. Hasn't changed much in the past 10 years.
