O had this happen when I went to language school to learn Japanese.
Spent the first 3 months being adored by classmates and constantly asked to explain things/ help people study.
Then suddenly it hit a point where I lost it and everybody else kept getting better. I had no idea how to act so I just got really quiet for the rest of the course.
