Does anyone else feel like having any attractive features makes them feel more depressed than if they were just completely ugly? I wasn't diagnosed with autism until I was 15 and up until then I had completely lacked self awareness on my physical appearance. I always (and most of the time still do) thought of myself as good-looking but over time I've realized that for every good trait I have there are about 4 negative ones. I would have preferred to be a completely ugly freak so I never would have thought for a second that I could be considered attractive.

I guess being uglier would be nice because I could cut off family contacts but it would also be troublesome because I'd probably lose my job if I was too much of an eyesore. I'm not a stripper or anything but looks discrimination happens no matter where you work and being obscenely ugly would make it impossible to get hired most places.

you just want to find an excuse so you don't have to try. But anyways, I'm glad that I'm a 6/10 cyborg, so people aren't instantly creeped out by my appearance alone and I'm able to have normal conversations. In the past one or two women even showed slight interest and the escorts (it's legal in my country) like me because I look ok and behave normal.
