You might find that you enjoy lifting too. Try being a fat, but very strong, powerlifter. You keep yourself in good shape with the exercise and don't look like a complete blob that way, and you have a good reason to justify your eating

The better feeling is lifting for several years and building enough muscle on your body that your metabolism increases like crazy and you can still eat like your ex-fatboy days but now you can do it while staying muscular and lean.

Lifting is like enabling cheat codes.
