My cat doesn't like sitting on my lap. Sometimes it lies next to me in my bed, then I pet it and it purrs and it rubs its head against my hand. It's really comfy and calming.

Sounds like my mom's cats. Her clumsy runt was playing outside one day and she got hit by a car backing out of its driveway. She miraculously survived, although it fucked her shit up good. No broken bones but she had a serious concussion and some brain damage. The vet said if she was hit about an inch further up her brain and skull would have been crushed.

She isn't allowed outside anymore. She's even clumsier and and dopier now after her brain damage but it made her way more cuddly and attention whorish.

They are mummy's cats and I don't live with her anymore. I like them and watch them for her sometimes if she is going out of town though. She spoils the hell out of them. They have a higher quality of life than billions of Africans, Chinese and Indians. Hopefully she likes cats more than grandchildren.

The one that almost died isn't a vegetable now or anything like that. She still recognizes people and knows her name. She likes to play with people or with the other cat and she enjoys running around the house. She is just clumsier and clingier now after the accident.

they have really smelly shits, but if you find the right cat(ragdoll cats are top tier for snuggling) and make sure to trim it's claws, they are like fluffy hot water bottles. Just be nice to your cat, because then they will be nice back.
