>Personal finance:
You should buy "Assets" which are things that make you money.
So buying company stocks (receive periodic money from that company) are assets.
You should avoid "Liabilities" which are things that COST you money.
So avoid bank loans, credit card debt, etc.
Most people fuck up their finance by getting into debt and not investing their money.
If you know this and stick to this, you are above 85% of people in your personal finance knowledge
As for basic economic concepts: just learn about inflation and interest rates, that should only take 1 hour tops, and then you'll have a reasonable grasp. (Again, you'll know much more than the average person if you know this)
