>volunteering at SPCA
>taking a Doberman for a walk
>at first he's pretty chill, he stops to piss every 5 seconds but other than that he's cool
>on the way back to the shelter
>all the sudden he starts getting rowdy, starts jumping on me
>shoving him only gets him more excited
>he bites my arm and doesn't let go
>punch the fucker in the side of the head
>he stops
>looks at me confused and saddened for a few seconds
>we continue to the shelter
Did I behave appropriately /r9k/? I feel kinda bad about hitting the doggo, he obviously wasn't trying his hardest considering the fact that he barely left a scratch.
What would you have done?

With dogs you have to have Authoritative verbal commands.
Saying "Oh gosh stop" just helps to confuse them.
You have to respond with a firm and angry-sounding "NO", and the dog will understand. Lack of communication with dogs is probably one of the top-leading reasons for mild-abuse among owners.

you have autism
I hate this board
You did good. But in the future, try to use your voice. A loud, sharp voice should be enough to show the doggo who's in charge. If someone see you hit a dog they'll might call the coos. People are crazy when it comes to pets.

the dogger knew his walk was ending but he wanted to stay out and play instead of go back to his jail cell, and you punched him in the head :,(

Shoving a dog as a means to tell them to stop? How fucking beta are you.
Punching a dog in the head? Did you grow up around niggers?
Poor doggo.
