Why are most people so generic looking like real life NPCs, and have the bland generic personality to match

Why is that when somebody has an actual personality you can usually tell by looking at them? Why do they tend to stand out physically from everyone else
>>
>>34472270
What do you want them to do while waiting in line?
Do dance and break out in song?

>>34472270
>all on their phones
Jesus Christ. To answer question OP the reason people with unique personalities look different is because personality leaks into looks, subtle differences in how they hold themselves, where they look etc, things like their diet could have minor effects on their physical appereance as well.

I'm not talking about what they're doing so much as how they physically look and what they wear.

People with personalities tend to have different faces that stand out from the crowd and they tend to dress differently.

All these plain looking 5/10 average normies are like NPCs.

i get what you're saying OP.

if i was there, i'd pose a problem to the cohesion of the picture because first of all i'd be wearing all black, from head to toe because i only own dark shades of clothing for some reason.

i would be wearing a band hoodie with an obscure band no one has heard of and i don't own a smart phone so i would never look down for any reason whatsoever unless there was a rat on the ground or someone just dropped something.

Appearance is literally the number one criterion for judging people. You can tell a lot about how they look, their facial structure, what they wear, how they carry themselves, etc.

The question is why

Why do boring people look physically boring? Why do interesting people look interesting? I don't know why, but in my experience you can tell every time.

Goth people i've met can't converse about nietzsche, kafka or even Poe,

You get the point: appearances say fuck all, you have to talk to folks to see how they roll.

It could simply be the reverse...you find someone attractive and therefore you ascribe to them an interesting personality.

I actually think the picture I posted now is true, for NPC/normies who have no judgement about others.

I agree that sometimes I see someone and they clearly are different, not just more attractive, and definitely are not an 'NPC' they exude individuality and humanity in a way that you can tell they have a soul, and this has little to do with their conventional attractiveness measures, you can tell they have a life force.

Most people don't. For me, I am an individual, but my life force that I exude is very weak because I have sleep apnea and am very tired, so not many people can pick up on me.

Embrace it anon. People with the most interesting personalities tend to be either ugly or good looking. Average looking people are bland.
>>
>>34472421
I think it's mostly a matter of how well-socialised they are. Someone who is socialised well enough to be wearing whatever is in, to be acting exactly like his peers and to be on his phone texting constantly is unlikely to ever develop a unique (and hence possibly interesting) personality.

>>34472270
Other ways people might be alienated from society could include looks, some personality or other disorder etc. This would be something that could cause an interesting personality or outlook on life. Others might express a unique personality through the way they dress, or might not care about others opinions enough to act like they do

Overall you can generally definitely learn something about people by just looking at them in public, but that doesn't always work and not for everyone either

But you a normalfag. I can tell by what you're saying. Let me explain something to you.

You have this typical normie mindset of "We're all pretty much the same and equal, nobody can stand out from the crowd and be better than others. People who say otherwise are just fedora nerds." That's the normalfag attitude. You're boring, so everyone else must be too.

This propaganda has been pushed for a long time by (((Disney))) and others in the media to want to shut down anybody who stands out and shame them for being different. Now they even morally shame you for it by claiming that you're a bad person for not fitting in.

You have been indoctrinated.

I think special snowflakes are a dime a dozen too. To find somebody truly unique, you have to socially involve yourself and ask questions and get to know people. It's not something that happens casually, it takes effort.
>>
this is bullshit.
yes, some people do dress and behave alike.
But the thing is, you only see them in public, when they try to uphold a certain appereance.

If people do not trust you, they will keep up a mascerade and not engage in what you percieve as meaningful.

Ever considered how you talk to a cashier at your favourite fast food place?
Think about how boring and un-unique everyone must look to a cashier at mcdonalds.

Thinking that everyone else must be a boring and bland person doesnt make you interestening or unique. a shitton of people feel like this, and some also think about you in this way.

the irony is that simply saying you are special is the most ordinary thing you can express. nobody says "i am bland, i am not special" unless they are in some emotional, drunk rant. instinctually you put your life before other peoples, and you know yourself better than other people. to claim that you are complex and different from others is to claim that you have a functioning brain.

What is with this desire to be special? Why is being a normie so demonized? Why can't people accept that the majority of people are NOT special in any way nor should they be.

Not everyone needs to have some unique style to elevate themselves above others. Not everyone needs to be able to carry on a witty conversation with a constant stream of new and original ideas.

People should just accept the fact that they're not special in any way and be content with it. It leads to a happier life. Maybe you are special, but it makes no difference on whether you are aware of it. Stop trying to always personalize every little damn thing and stand out unless it's for a practical purpose like getting a job.

They're not, but at the very least, they have taken their first steps into questioning things and rejecting mainstream ideas they don't like.

They're not deep thinkers and they're wrong about a lot of things. They're like intellectual infants. But they have just a little bit of thought capacity to reject mainstream ideas and seek out something different. That puts them slightly above typical normies.

I will never hate this picture enough. Whoever drew this didn't understand shit about 1984, and then smugly acts like poor dumb Orwell was trying (and failing) to predict of the future. 1984 is primarily a warning on how society is malleable through altering history, how history is malleable by altering thought and how thought is malleable by altering language. That, and an analysis on how extremist dictatorships operate. The party's methods are irrelevant to the message of the book. Its intention was never to predict an ominous future in which we all use Facebook and Netflix while send message through our iPhones, no matter which retarded parallelisms college literature freshmen might want to draw with current society (Because that's the only society they know).

Meanwhile Huxley got it totally right, because, apparently his message was like, twitter and facebook and smartphones are making us dumb, unlike our grand-grandparents, which were clearly a paragon of individuality and free-thought intellectualism, even though half of them were fucking illiterate. Surely, the overall impression that new technology and lifestyles are corrupting the good ol' values, whichever they actually were, isn't a cyclic low-hanging fruit opinion that has been parroted for generations, not at all. I'm sure a critique of the Internet, 2k year consumerism and millenial society was totally what Huxley was aiming for when he wrote this book in 1930.
>>
>>34481050
>can't use books as a medium to view our own society unless they were written in our own society

Most people are collectivist and view themselves always as part of a unit first, and an individual as a distant second. Humans were evolved to be that way since functioning together as a herd was and still is critical to our survival. In mate selection, conformity is a trait that is selected for. Following all the latest trends and generally being generic as fuck in the context of your current culture demonstrates that the person prioritizes the group, which the majority of people find an attractive trait because it is optimal for survival. You could say that individualists possibly can excel in an intellectual capacity, and collectivists excel in an animal capacity. Since sexual reproduction is an animal act rooted in evolution and natural selection, this means that turbo-generic inoffensive predictable Chad is going to be more desirable as a mate and a group member than a weird guy, even if the weird guy could arguably be considered more enlightened in some ways.
>>
>>34479787
huxleys thoughts never about neo-liberal consumerism. A lot of books are also banned in brave new world.
The thing that why nobody is talking about brave new world is huxley just described post ww1 world (he travelled gay capital san francisco before writing the fucking book) which looked like 1930s england in many ways.
also 1984 is a huge pop-culture rhetoric that people misuse so much. as an outsider i can't believe that american liberals use double-think to make themselves believe in trump make 1984 a reality white mainstream media uses news correction just like described in the book.

I hate when girls walk in groups
Dark and long hair, similiar face, same greenish coat, same boots, same way of speech, same interest, same drama
I hate when people look at them and say one is hot and one is fat, and I literally cannot tell them apart.
I hate looking at group of people and seeing no single face, just a crowd
I hate myself for looking like everyobody else. I hate myself for being one of them
I think I saw a girl, one of these you can tell apart, one I was friends with for my entire childhood on the tram.
I was looking at her the whole time. She was also looking in my direction but she didn't see me. I was part of a crowd, not a person. She didn't focus on anyone, even if she saw I was looking at her

My dad said that he liked punks because at least they stood out and were honest about it. Now I understand why this shit was so wise

For the last few days (since seeing her) I think I'm at lowest point of my life so far. Nothing can fill the void

Do you have any activity you enjoy? Normally the "follow your dreams" advice is not that hot, but in your situation anything that is both easy for you to get engrossed with and increases your interest for doing some activity will be useful. Even if not directly marketable, an interest for reading might evolve in an interest for writing, or an interest for eroge could evolve into learning nip and doing some translations (I know, that last one is way too far fetched, but you get the gist).
Start easy. Do things that you enjoy, get better at them and you'll feel at least a little bit more happy and confident. With luck, one day you'll be strong enough to tackle feats a bit more difficult.

Another thing to check would be hormonal imbalances like hypotyroidism. That shit can fuck up your mind. Like watching someone believing the "we are all equal" ideology to the extreme while also using himself as the benchmark of humanity.

It's ironic but liberal white people are actually very racist because they assume everyone will have the same values as them and act just like they do

i think people like you assume that your personality is so much more original and developed than others because you spend all your time in your head being able to hear your every thought and feel your reaction to everything you hear, meanwhile if i were to talk to you, you would likely come across as a basic boring person because you're choosing to go for small talk in a social interaction with a person you just met

It depends on the person. Some normies have a personality underneath all the generic social norms.

On the other hand, some normies I have gotten to know, it's like there is literally nothing there. You can talk to them every day for years and it's like going through the conversation tree in a RPG. The social norms are literally all they are.
