What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought your parents as a gift? I've bought my dad a $600 wine cooler and my mom a $1600 desktop PC.

Grandchildren.
I bought my mom and I tickets to the world series at Wrigley this year. I haven't really bought anything too crazy for my dad, a laptop or a grill would be the most expensive.

I'm getting really fucking sick of these Catalog Ninjas. It's literally impossible to have serious threads with them around.

Kek, never heard that before. Thank you.
Though, I don't have a child, I am being serious. Grandchildren is a very expensive gift. You basically give up your life for it.
I paid for the repair costs on their vehicle many times, most of the bills in excess of $700. Gave dad a bottle of vicodin that was probably worth around 600 bucks in street value. Numerous drugs, lots of pot grown in the basement, usually at least two ounces a month for several years. I don't really do 'gifts' I just do nice things for the only people who give a shit about my existence.
Am I a shitty person? I never buy people anything good for Christmas or birthdays. I think it's my moms influence. She would always buy my family members gifts and then have me wrap them and say they were from me. Then when I started making money I would blow whatever meager wages I made on drugs and toys and girls.
Most expensive thing I ever bought my parent was a $430 dji phantom drone but I bogarted it and I've been using it. But my dad hasn't complained once about it. And nobody in my family complains that I only ever buy them cheap last minute thoughtless gifts.
I can't remember last time I spent my own money to buy a gift for my father that he actually recieved and held onto. I've never bought anything for my sisters or mother that cost more than ten dollars.
Am I going to hell? Oh shit. I' must be already there. Is this part of the reason why?

literally nothing
I have never bought my parents a gift because I have never had a job, so anything I buy would just be their own money

what do you mean? People who pop into threads, make some snide comment, then leave? or just any non-serious comments in threads in general

Catalog ninjas are people who refresh the catalog with sort by: creation date so they can take the first post of every new thread.
