i was on it untell i became an alcoholic.

you stop caring so much witch is nice, didnt worry as much, being in public didnt freak me out.

could talk to women and other people for once, actually got a date, lost shit tonne of weight dressed niver.

vivid dreams, was a nice bonus.

they atustic shit was still there, but was toned down, didn't get depressed as often, or super stressed out.

youll notice some changes after about a week or 2. then you kinda dont think about it,

unfortunately anon, asides from common side affects that you can easily google, ssri's work differently for everyone and will help/harm in various ways.
the only thing you can do is give it a try, see how you feel, and after about 3 months if you're not happy with the side affects, the current affect it's having on your mood etc; get off it immediately and try a new one if you so desire. definitely don't stick to a ssri that is doing nothing beneficial for you.

good luck friend

go into it with good thoughts, i did and i think it helped a lot. I used to call it my happy pill.

Thanks for the advice.
I figured it would be different for different people but just wanted a more general consensus.
>>34464584
To be honest I'm not really expecting anything that good or bad.
My doctor said I should try it in 2 weeks and then come back to him to tell if I want to continue on with it.
Do you feel like this is enough time?
>>
>>34464496
If didn't lower my sex drive but it did make it harder to cum. Not impossible just took a little longer.

Prozac was my ssri that worked. Made me stop sleeping all day to avoid life. I'm off them now though and it takes 2-3 minutes for me to cum if I haven't already so the sex effects are temporary.

i'm the first guy you replied to, but in terms of the 2 week thing - i mean i'm not doctor but i've been on about half a dozen ssri's, so i have a bit of experience - 2 weeks doesn't seem like nearly enough imo, your initial side affects might start wearing off by then (nausea being a real big one, you will feel like shit first week especially) but i recommend you ignore the nausea as it's just your body acclimatizing. you might be able to tell some slight mood changes, especially anxiety if you're taking anxiety based medicine too. but i guess it's for anything really serious that could happen.

I guess I'll just wait and see how it affects me.
>>34464642
How long did that take?
>>
>>34464343
gonna take a while to cum and it'll turn your dick into a bookmark for a bit, but it's drastically improved my mood and quality of life. Take it after you eat the biggest meal of the day so you don't get diarrhea. Good luck, anon.

I am on the max recommended prescription dosage of Zoloft.

The only changes that I can really notice are related to my dick. Frequent urination, and mild limpdick. I still jack off every day but I have to beat it a little harder.

I am "out of touch" with my body. It's really hard for me to notice certain changes. I think I should be feeling a bigger effect than this, but I can't tell any difference. I've been on Zoloft for about a year. This isn't my first SSRI. Some people claim they make them like zombies. I've never had anything like that.

I will say the withdrawal symptoms are very real to me. Brain zaps and flu-like aching. You do not want to go on vacation and forget your SSRIs. You will suffer for it.
>>
>all the Pfizer shills ITT
Zoloft is literally poison. Never touch it

Give it an honest go, stick with it since SSRIs take long to settle in their effects.

With that in mind, I suggest reading something like Robert Whitaker's "anatomy of an epidemic" to see the other side of the pharmaceutical complex. It's weighted towards anti-psychotics, but much of it applies to mood stabilizers as well. You can also find youtube vid talks. Basically, our bodies/brains self-correct/self-heal, and if you consistently get in the way of that process, your brain will create haphazard workarounds that could create lethal situations. Not to freak you out but do your research; these drugs are totally fucked to take, so unless they fix your symptoms in a profound way, it gets more dangerous with every pill pop

zoloft is a pretty good aint depressants, they help s lot, I was on them for almost a year and they got rid of my depression and anxiety, but the other side of the axe is, they kill your libdo, and can make you feel very numb, I've been off them for a week now, my sex drive is a lot higher, but still feel numb, almost dead inside.
