How come the modern 18-30 y/o looks way older than they actually

my gf says I look 25-26 years old with a beard and 15 years old without one

that seems unrelated but I'm suggesting that cultural and hygiene changes are blurring the boundaries of age as it becomes acceptable for 16 year olds to sport full beards and for old men to wear skinny jeans.

It's the society around you pressing deep into your skull.

You're not meant to live a 8-5 job life M-F. Of course it makes progress, but it also degrades you faster.

i've started working out and eating like crazy to at least get a semblance of a man's body, up to about 180lbs but i bet most people still wouldn't guess i'm even in my 20s
is this something to do with not going outdoors, not socializing, etc.? do fresh air and social experience transfer maturity particles into normal people's faces?

Where do you live where thats the case? I think people my age (30) still look incredibly young, at least the ones that didn't have a hard go at drugs and booze or got fat. If you look at pictures of high school classes from the 70's they looked more adult coming out of high school than people in their late 20's now, the boys especially. Considering we spend a lot more time inside, physically intense jobs aren't as common, and get a lot more exposure to estrogen in various forms we're probably the youngest looking people to walk the earth ever.

I'm 26 and look like I'm in high school even if I grow my beard out, I just have very youthful looking features and a full head of hair. But I see a lot of high school and college kids that look like grown ass men to me. I've also met guys that were in their late 20's early 30's who I thought were like 19. People just age differently.

dunno I know someone who's in their early 20's but looks like they're in their 30's because they're very ill

on the other hand I know someone who's in their mid 50's but looks like they're in their late to early 40's because they just got good genes I guess and are also very fit
