I couldn't play it at all and had awful migraines of cringe after 20 minutes of gameplay.

Its made for everyone, with the main market being teenage girls and young adult women. Same way all other video games are made for everyone with the main market being teenaged to young adult men. Just because it didn't rely on gritty violence and instead developed its story and characters from a female perspective doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.
Games like Life is Strange go a long way in helping normies adopt vidya as a serious art form instead of le murder and machoism simulators.
