Keep going without it. I used to be a soda addict but I dropped it years ago, and my teeth have gotten much better since then. Once you learn to go without it you will learn how terrible it tastes. You can't be tempted to drink soda if you don't even like it.

On this topic, what do you anons think of a soda tax? It seemed to work for cigarettes, why not soda?

I've been avoiding it lately too, had a huge addiction for my entire life (I would kill liters on the weekends and at least a few cans every day). Wish my parents never let me have soda.

On the other hand if I don't drink a lot of water I get very sluggish and feel tired all day. It doesn't make me feel like a god but it does keep me feeling human.

I actually don't like soda. The flavor is far too intense, it's a mix of extreme sour and extreme sweetness. I stick to water mostly, also milk and fresh fruit juice are good. Whiskey and beer tastes best.

Well as long as you're fine there's no problem. I smoke cigars, not going to quit that for as long as I don't cough up tar. But when you drink 3 sodas a day you should consider stopping.

I quit drinking soda some time ago too, prior to that I had been guzzling down a 6-pack of 2-litres every week for over a decade. Started getting a tad narcoleptic towards the end and often woozy. I think I'm getting a little better but still feel like shit.
I drink a lot of tea (did before too), it's no proper replacement for a tasty, well chilled cola in a thinwalled glass, but it's a nice beverage still, not just drinking it but I like the little procedure around making it, I take care to fill my steeper-thing to the right level, different amounts for different teas, no spillage, I like holding the warm cup and placing it against my cheek. My favourites so far is ceylon fop, vanilla, cinnamon, mint, darjeeling, cherry.

But yea, I wonder why everything that tastes soo good typically is unhealthy as fuck, and whether it's worth eating stuff that tastes mediocre ones whole life (don't get me wrong, there's plenty of decent tasting "healthy food", but usually the unhealthy alternative is just overall yummier), or just give into ones desires and consume whatever I like and mayhap die a little earlier but then at least I'd have enjoyed something to the fullest.
