That was me, but without the Socal bit.

I was into Blink 182 years before they went mainstream with that "mommy and daddy are fighting again" song.

My sister got one of their CDs through one of those "buy 12 get 5 free" mail-order things. I then started digging through more pop-punk stuff like NOFX. This older kid who went to our school is actually the main photo for the inside back cover of one of their CDs cause he was getting arrested and had a NOFX patch on his punk meme jacket.

I was also into nu-metal before it went mainstream. I played a Limp Bizkit from their Three Dollar Bill Yall album for a presentation in English class and all the wiggers and actual black people were like AWWWWW SHIT THIS ROCK MUSIC BE LIKE HIP HOP YO.

I remember also the only person to listen to Eminem in the entire fucking school was a fat Russian kid who was in the chess club and listened to him because it relieved the stress of him being bullied. A few years later and Eminem is pure normie.
