WTC sounds the least terrifying, the worst probably being Titanic or Vietnam PoW.

I spent three years in a Viet Cong PoW camp, forced to subsist on a thin stew made of fish, vegetables, prawns, coconut milk and four kinds of rice. I came close to madness trying to find it here in the states but they just can't get the spices right.

I don't mean to sound melodramatic, but all these peoples suffering either ending instantly or over the course of a few days or weeks.

Being a social outcast for your entire life, living in total isolation, not being able to relate to anyone, it's like having a life sentence from birth, just existing for the sake of existing, no purpose or reason, not ever able to create connections with others.

I'm not joking when I say I feel like I am pretty much suffering similar psychological issues that people develop during their brief hardcore war experiences. It's just that they developed it instantly, whereas i have developed mine over the decades.

They had pretty much 100% evacuation rates. Hell, 3rd class men even had higher evacuation rates than the 2nd class men. Either way, at the very worst you have 20% chance of survival

Office worker. There's no way I'd be important enough to guarantee an office on one of the mid to top floors where the planes struck. I'd probably be some lame schmuck drone on one of the bottom 10 floors which I would have enough time to run my ass down the stairs before the building collapsed

In the 9/11 scenario it's a shortish event, and besides if you were smart and knew basic fire safety you'd be fine, only like 10,000 out of the almost 200,000 daily visitors, that's not a whole lot, I'd take that over trench foot, national socialism or drowning in freezing water with a load of street urchins any day
