Yes, I have horrible panic attacks. They are very hard to help for people on the outside, but I'd say just try to help him get out of his head and focus on the real world. Touching him can help as well, I've been scared I was forgetting how to feel before and stimulation of my senses has helped small amounts. If it gets unbearable, take xanax.

Music helps. Either listening or playing it. I was paranoid for a while in my early twenties. Like, literally "THERE ARE SNIPERS WAITING FOR ME" paranoid. I look back on it and go "wat y tho" at myself. I'd like to say "the trick is" but everyone experiences anxiety differently, and there's no real solution to it. Just find something to get your mind off it, really. Toys, music, sex, anything. Just make sure that your solution doesn't become a problem.

Exposure DOES NOT help. I literally tried for 3 years and it broke me and it just gets worse so don't do what I did. I mean I already was an impulsive drug addict before the heroin so it was kind of a given that was going to happen but pain makes people do stupid things regardless
