It was as good a day as can be for a NEET. I drank some prison wine and watched a movie, which I haven't been able to do for a while due to depression. It was Finding Dory. It was aight. I can't even remember the last new movie I watched the whole way through. It's been over a month at least.

I then cheered myself up with some good food, some of which I had an intermission in the middle of the movie to make.

That's cool. I used to raise exotic mantises myself a few years ago. I heard captive raised beetles are much more robust compared to wild beetles due to an optimized diet, leading to highly impressive specimens that typically aren't seen in the wild. What's your setup like? I heard of these beetle specific jellies, like gummy candies for beetles/larvae.

OP here. Once in the woods, I saw a large jumping spider look up at me from the ground, and I held out my hand like you would to a dog/cat. I wasn't expecting anything, because all jumping spiders I've seen are skittish and run or hide, but not that one. It jumped right on and I held it up to eye level and we sort of inspected each other until I let it back off.
