My eyes are often red. They look irritated, like an infection or as if I just itched them for a while.

It doesn't hurt and I don't have any practical disabilities because of it, but it really puts some people off that my eyes look so damaged.

They've been like this for over 9 years now. Been do various doctors many times, but no one knows what it is. All they know is it's harmless.

Keratoconus.

It's a rare degenerative disease that affects 1 in 2000 people. Vision is completely blurry in my right eye (can't make out faces if I close my left eye. Technically blind with my right eye) but the disease affects both eyes. It gets worse over time eventually leading to a corneal transplant. Fortunately, my wonderful loving parents paid $ 5,000 (before it was FDA approved) to get me a cross linking surgery to save my vision. I'm very greatful for this and I consider it one of the greatest things to happen to me. I usually go once a year to get my vision checked (surgery supposedly improves vision overtime). The doctor I see is a highly intelligent brilliant specialist who knows a great deal about keratoconus. He's the only one in my state who can be considered an expert on the cornea and the disease. He gave me the surgery. His daughter has the disease.

I'm extremely nearsighted, been a (almost) shut-in for 9 years and my parents haven't bothered to give me money to change glasses for 14 years.

I can barely read the monitor from 20cm away now. (with glasses on obviously)
Driving is also extremely fun.

And there's no fucking way I can get a job and do it correctly having such shitty eyesight.

Any exercising, climbing stairs, talking to people, looking at other people in public, even if I hear someone's conversation I often go full tomato face.

I have this all the time, but I spend about 15 hours a day in front of my monitor so I always put it down to that.

Also some form of autism/ social anxiety/ extreme paranoia where I always think the most negative possibilities in every situation, but I don't consider these as much a disorder/ affliction as I consider them just a complete lack of confidence on my part, I also don't believe in most mental illnesses being a thing rather I think they're just widespread global racketeering by a modern industry that's made megabucks by coming up with names for personality types for for example someone that decades ago would've been called 'shy' and got motivational talks, therapy, confidence talks etc.. Now gets diagnosed with social anxiety and gets SSRI's and psychological/psychiatric help.

Both of those started happening during 2016. They are very rare and not much is known about them, other than the fact that I'm more likely to have a stroke.

This happened to me for the first time this year, probably because I live in an hot place and this winter has been particularly cold
