I'm the same as op, minus never gf, and my guess is he himself never approached a girl and if he ever did he never flirted as a start. I know that's what happened. All the gfs I've ever had were from random friendships that eventually became more. This was in school yet I've only had 3 with this method and they each lasted less than 2 weeks.
