Are funko pops literally the most autistic thing one can collect?
I don't get why these stupid things are the rage. In my opinion they're really ugly looking. I can see the appeal if you want to get a few of your all-time favorite characters to decorate your desk or something, but there are neckbeards out there who have to have every single one of them, with entire rooms dedicated to their retarded looking toys. Still in their boxes, indexed and stacked so you can't even see them. As if these things will be worth anything in the future.
These things are way fucking better. More detailed, better cartoony design, and made of solid metal so they make good paper weights. I still can't imagine having 2000 of them though.

Possibly. To be fair though, there are things just as bad out there to collect.
I'm an offender myself. I collect those really shitty english dub hentai dvds and am wanting to get into taxidermy rats.
Autism is all in the eye of the beholder, senpai
Yes.
I think they are mainly marketed toward the ""nerdyy xD"" demographic. They're perfect because their cheap as hell and in their mind it validates their nerdiness.

Anyone who collects tons of stuff is an idiot. Be it porn or swatches or these things.

This. It's a low barrier of entry to confound the so-called gatekeepers. Nendoroids are much better.

I buy a lot of blu-rays, but i do so because i like a ton of movies. I'm not one of those people who literally picks up 20 new releases every tuesday to make unboxing videos and add them to their giant collection just to show them off and only watch them once. I buy movies and series that i really fucking love. I still get criticized by normies for it though. "Because why would you ever pay for a movie when streaming exists! xD"
