Advice is never *just* geared towards the person your giving it to. Its also tainted by your own bias, so by trying to tell a guy how to approach a girl its automatically going to be coloured by how you would want to be approached (assuming the advice giver is female). This doesn't matter if the guy is interested in the advice giver or not.

The point I was trying to make is that people tend to give out their advice as if it is an absolute truth that can be applied in all circumstances and to all characters.

I have to disagree to some aspect, I've met girls that bitched about their ex boyfriends who were basically losers (no job, no car, no place to stay) and yet refuse to date guys who had all these things simply because they were a little autistic.
