There should be a program that forces and helps able bodied/minded NEETs get jobs, or become business people.

While helping the mentally/physically ill financially. Same with their caretakers. This is America, though. It'll be voted against or made so inefficient it should not exist

That's super easy. I've got traditional values, want as little government interference in my life as possible, want taxes as low as possible, strongly believe in gun rights, don't support illegal immigration, and strongly support our military and police forces.

I've identified as a Republican and what they stand for long before I could even vote. The Democratic platform is so out of touch with me at this point that I couldn't fathom ever voting for them at this point.
>>
>>34315272
>I vote Republican because I work for a living

GOP are not the party of working people. They do everything to fuck you over HARD.

> and don't want my hardworking taxes going to NEETbux

Taxes are investments into society. How good your society is is proportional to taxes paid. Tax hysteria is propaganda by the rich to get THEIR taxes cut.
>>
>>34315329
>supports military and police

That's quite the stretch, my friend.
>>
"people don't have healthcare so make a law to give free healthcare" makes sense only if you're a very shallow thinker but a lot of people fall for that kind of thing. I think the difference is fundamental (for those who believe strongly either way) so it's hard for them to come to understanding and it goes into more than just politics
>>
>>34315433
Wanting your taxes as low as possible while having a well funded military and police force means you are going to have high taxes, that F35 isnt going to pay for itself and that's just a single aircraft model, there's a wide range of land air and sea vehicles that the military needs and then we have the police force which is already underfunded and under trained so if you truly support them that's a tax increase, then we also have roads to maintain, schools to fund, fyi those also need a major overhaul so there's an increase, and various other infrastructure that needs funding
Taxes in and if themselves aren't a problem and dont just instantly go to welfare programs, the misuse of those funds is the problem and you're a fucking retard if you think either major party isn't misusing that money
>>

Calm down, you're acting like a high schooler who thinks that he has all of the answers.

I agree with you that misuse of the money is a massive problem, as is waste. That's true of both parties. Having said that, welfare programs, in conjunction with other things that tax dollars go to, combine to require higher taxes and federal funding as a result.

If you want to be precise, however, such social programs are approximately 67% of the current expenditures, much less than defense, or in fact all other expenditures combined and then doubled.

It's bloated and wasteful, and puts us in extreme debt beyond what is necessitated. I'd like to significantly cut government waste and expenses, which as a result necessitates less taxes.

Only one party ever talks about the debt or cutting government spending, and only one party ever wants to give out tax breaks. There are lots of bad eggs, sure, but my vision of America is embodied by fiscal responsiblity, low taxes, keeping welfare programs as minimized as possible (though they are necessary to a certain extent), and keeping our military strong.

As I said, "taxes as low as possible" doesn't mean "no taxes." Please stop acting like the ultimate authority on everything, you don't have all of the answers to everything in life. It's not an endearing trait.

Is one of the most disingenuous, or one of the most stupid questions that I've ever seen asked. I honestly hope you weren't being serious, and could foresee the issues present with such an idea.

>giving people free money is inherently wasteful and inefficient?
It's not "free money," they're providing the necessary service (as evidenced by the existence of every country in the history of the world) of keeping us safe from those who would do us harm. They're doing their duty, as called for in the Constitution.

There is plenty of waste, sure, and that should be minimized, but necessary expenses, as deemed by those who know a Hell of a lot more than you or me, are necessary expenses.

I'm not sure if you're just being obtuse, or if you're conflating Republican ideals with radical libertarian or even anarchist ideals.

you're just arguing for welfare. welfare is not "free money" it keeps people from dying (same as the stated purpose of military).

good argument for socialism, however as a potato farmer I don't think the most efficient thing is for the government to decide for me how many potatoes to grow.

>who is in charge of the military and police and who are they accountable to?
The commander-in-chief, naturally. They exist as an entity of the executive branch, as called for by the US Constitution.

A "privatized military" is beholden to whoever the Hell pays their paychecks. They could easily overthrow the US Government if they were privatized. The military exists as a necessary entity to prevent our country from being overrun and invaded from those who would do us harm.

>you're just arguing for welfare. welfare is not "free money" it keeps people from dying (same as the stated purpose of military).

Welfare, as I stated before, is in fact necessary, but should be kept at the absolute minimum levels required, getting rid of all waste, fraud, and abuse of the systems.

I'm not advocating for the elimination of welfare, my friend, just keeping it as minimized as possible to prevent people from becoming reliant or comfortable with it.

Theoretically, we could eliminate all welfare and continue to exist as a country, whereas we couldn't eliminate the military and continue to exist. It's why we, or even socialist countries with public healthcare, don't pay for the most expensive and expedited treatment as a default.

>however as a potato farmer I don't think the most efficient thing is for the government to decide for me how many potatoes to grow.

I completely agree with you, and that's why I have stated numerous times to keep government as minimized as possible, and also why I don't vote Democrat.

You're arguing points that I'm not even making. I don't know if you're the OP or what, but if you are, you might secretly be a Republican with that train of thought.

In any event, I'm going to cut some wasteful time spending from my life, and move on because I don't think we're getting anywhere, and are just spinning the wheels at this point.
>>
>>34315194
sounds awfully familiar to the ACA
>>
>>34316570
Well, yes however the government is meant to be elected by it's public, making their forces accountable to the public (the ones who pay their checks), in theory at least. However there is a monopoly in this area which takes accountability out of the equation.

>Welfare, as I stated before, is in fact necessary
>I completely agree with you (on the inherent self-organizational quality of the free market)

That's a contradiction, what exempts welfare recipients from the free market?
