I'm from Western Europe and when I visited the US I saw many things that I liked. Cheap gas, friendly people, nice rural towns, good service in stores and many places open 24/7, free refills. But it sure as hell ain't better than where I live. I wish there were more Americans like yourself. I neither mindlessly hate the new president, nor mindlessly idolize him and take every word that rolls off the tip of his tongue as absolute truth. He's only human and is therefore prone to hubris, avarice, and other destructive things. He's surely not incorruptible. We can't know with total certainty what his true intentions are and whether or not they match what he has said that they are throughout his campaign. Neither can we know the same of those who surround him and who he's supposed to trust and work with, and especially those who explicitly oppose him. There's much potential for him being manipulated by others from every side. Now that he has been officially sworn into office as president, he IS the establishment that he so often claimed to oppose. I sincerely wish him success in his presidency however long it is, but hope that that success is a success for the citizenry and not only him and those in high places. He should now be seen sceptically and have his time be scrutinized no matter how much one may personally like him. Being principled and not a pathetic hyperpartisan puppet is a must to have any clarity in your judgement.
