That honor goes to President Eisenhower, IMO. He held the Military-Industrial Complex at bay for a time, and was the man who first warned us all about its dangerous influence. We now call the Military-Industrial Complex "The Establishment." Since Eisenhower the only man in our history besides Trump who has stood against the military-industrial complex and won, and since he led our country's military to victory against the Germans and Japanese during WWII, I think that Trump will have to accomplish a great deal before he can be said to be a greater leader.
