I work as a convenience store cashier and occasionally I'll get guys trying to chat me up. Normally around my age, they just kind of hang out by the counter trying to make conversation with me for a long time, like 30 minutes. Telling stories or talking about interests, sometimes jokes or compliments.
It's very strange and I'm not sure what to make of it. Are they coming onto me? Do they want to be friends? Or are they just lonely? I'm open to all of the above but it just seems kind of sketchy to me.
tl;dr how do i gaydar?
You're inept. It's called being normal and I highly doubt they chill there for 30 minutes. You're being weird.

First rule of gaydar is NOBODY IS FUCKING GAY - or at least not gay enough to bf. Period. If they're attractive and seem likable, they're NOT gay. Period. This is true nearly 100% of the time.

I know what's normal, that's why it seems weird to me. The other day a guy literally came in to "buy cigarettes," told me he didn't smoke, chatted me up for half an hour while he's "making a decision," then left without buying anything. You're telling me that's normal?

Crop dusting; farting while walking?
Or you stealing shit? Because that's not possible.
