how exactly do i do that as a mid-20s NEET with no workable references anymore.
most of the places i worked don't even have the same management. one place doesn't even exist anymore and i worked there for a year. like what the fuck do i do?

Try a temporary or staffing agency anon. If you live in any major city in the US they should have one or a few. If you're in the EU they should have some as well.
They look for a job for you and they can find even the most basic and menial of jobs for any unskilled nobody.

hmm. i live a pretty small canadian town but i think we do actually have one temp agency in town.
good call anon i actually never thought of that in my past few days of job searching.
in case they are out of business due to lack of jobs in our town like i'm fairly sure they will be, im still open to other suggestions on how i can find employment as an adult with no references.

alas, canada doesn't really make it easy for businesses to just hire people "no questions asked". unless i'm like working for the mafia in my town or something.
