What is the consensus on women who keep their last names after marriage?
I think it's ok because I support true equality between genders, not mra bullshit but not third wave feminist bullshit either
It's only fair for them to do so
They are not keeping their last names, their keeping their father's last name, indicating that they believe that their current husband isn't as valuable in social ranking as their father so there is no reason to switch over.

* second their should be they're

But isnt that extremely emasculating and disrespectful to the husband?

any man that would let that happen is a complete beta tool and is gonna get cheated on a few years into the marriage.

Men are keeping their father's last name too, i don't see the argument here

I know my sisters did it, her husband even took our name.

Men don't see their wife as a substitute for their father. Maybe as a substitute for their mother, but since their mother has their father's name, it makes no difference.

In my part of the world (Australia) t's usual for women to keep their last name after marriage if they get married between the ages of 25 and 35.
Those who marry below 25 tend to be more socially conservative.
Those who marry above 35 tend to be more proud of landing themselves a good husband.

No, they are keeping their own last name. You're the one assuming it comes from their father, though that is the most common source.

I don't give a fuck as long as the kids have my name. If she tries that hyphen bullshit for their names its instant divorce.
If I ever marry a girl (LOL) she's taking my last name or I'm not marrying her
Here in mexico you get two last names, in the past wives would be called
Maria de ( husbands last name)
Now its
Maria ( her dads last name) ( her moms last name)
De means belong to

Yeah, as long as they at least incorporate the husband's maiden name somewhere into their full name and or contribute and equal amount in income. Mutual respect is a valuable thing to have, but it is a touchy topic because sometimes when you love somebody hard enough you want your name on them because they are family.

I would find it weird to fuck someone who has my name
